We finally got a week where the grain market rallied significantly due to the slow planting progress. While this portends to be bullish for corn it may not be so much for soybeans as some of the intended corn acres may switch to soybeans. Next Monday’s crop planting progress will determine the next move. The cattle market was lower with hogs ending higher. However late news suggest more exports of beef to Japan in the near future.
