January 2019.
New Year, New Opportunities, New Website!
Inventories of land for sale are at or near historic low levels throughout the Midwest and Corn Belt Region. Not withstanding the low commodity prices land values are holding steady to higher. After many years of downward pressure on agricultural commodity prices we should be at or near the bottom of a multi-year cycle. When prices do turn higher (and they will) we will see increased demand for land in general and higher cash rental rates. Pasture land is becoming a rare commodity as so much has been converted to row crop over the past decade.
